Hello all interested parties! I am Mary Wees, an Omaha native, heading a project called 25 days of Building. The project is a colaborative art project in the Empty Room a space in the new 22 floors building on 13th and Webster (Omaha NE). For 25 days I will invite 25 artist into the space, which I have set up as a studio for painting, drawing, writing, music–anything! The only rules are once you have entered the space you are part of it till the end (of the project- not necessarily time) and that all work must be collaborative. So what will happen is anyone’s guess. At the end of the month, on September 28th and 29th there will be a big fancy gallery party where everyone should come and see the works created (and buy all of them too). All purchases and donations to the space will cover the cost of the studio supplies- sort of a sustainable month of art. Thanks for your interest!
